Scott Fitzpatrick
Scott Fitzpatrick is CEO of Tradition SEF, the swap execution facility owned by Compagnie Financière Tradition, an interdealer broker in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. Spending time in Washington DC talking with regulators on regulatory reform and developing a strategy around how Traditions global business positions it’s various execution platforms to take advantage of the ever changing trading environments are key components of this role. In addition to running Tradition’s SEF, Scott is also responsible for Traditions global data business making Traditions highly sought after multi-asset OTC data available to a worldwide consumer base. Scott joined Tradition in 2012, as executive director of strategy and business development and has been instrumental in Tradition building a future proof intermediation strategy across all trading asset classes. Prior to Tradition, Fitzpatrick spent ten years at interdealer broker GFI Group, where he served in a variety of roles including client relations director for regulatory reform and global head of GFI's FENICS and market data businesses. He began his career at GFI as head of sales for the U.S. FENICS and market data businesses. Before joining GFI, he held a similar position at ProIV, a data development framework. Fitzpatrick also sits on the board of directors of the Wholesale Markets Brokers' Association Americas Inc. Fitzpatrick graduated from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1990, with a degree in business and computer studies.
